Food Review: TGI Fridays Meal For 2 Promo

Been meaning to try out the Meal For 2 promo by TGI Fridays ever since they launched it, and finally got to do so last week!

Gathered a few girl friends for an excuse to hang out together and have some girlie time over good food. It was a great time spent at TGI Fridays, The Curve :)

This was the promo that we were all excited for, because it's really such a great deal. RM45.90++ for 1x starters and 2x mains! Normally one main also can come up to RM45.90++ already!

These days with so much inflation, price hikes and the dreaded GST, prices of so many things including F&B have quickly escalated. I'm feeling the pinch already ever since it kick-started, so being able to find such a great deal is a steal! Good food at affordable prices are rare these days. I want!

So here are the stuff we ordered from our Meal For 2 menu! A few of us were there so two person shared one Meal For 2 promo! :)

Ordered my Freshly Squeezed Lemonade at RM9.90.
All bottomless drinks are at an additional RM9.90 charge, by the way!

And here are our starters!

Bruschetta
I LOVED the marinated tomatoes and balsamic glaze. I have a special thing for these two!

Nacho Chilli Roll
Bite-sized tortilla rolls filled with (wait for it...) cream cheese (!), spicy chilli beef (!), topped with melted Colby cheese (!!) and fresh corn pico de gallo. One of my personal favourites too. All the fav ingredients!

Chicken Fajitas Nachos
Crispy tortilla chips piled high with marinated charbroiled chicken breast, grilled onions and green peppers, topped with Monterey Jack cheese and sliced JalapeƱo. Served with pico de gallo, guacamole (loveeee), and sour cream.

Loaded Mashed Potato Cakes
A flavourful combination of mashed potatoes, a Colby-PArmesan cheese mix, chopped beef bacon and caramelised onions rolled into a crispy cake. Served with horseradish. This dish is flavourful indeed! A great starter in my books.

My company amongst other ladies that fine evening :)

My main:

Hibachi Chicken Skewers
Grilled all-natural chicken breast marinated in garlic-soy sauce with a miso glaze. Served with fresh beans, broccoli blend and grilled pita.

Picked this dish because:

1) I love skewers
2) I'm on a low-carb/low-fat diet
3) The greens are just so fresh and amazing!!

Didn't regret choosing this dish. At all.

Tzia's main:

Fish & Chips
Crispy, golden fish fillets served with fries and tartar sauce.

Stole a piece of hers while she stole one of my skewers! So aromatic! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Classic fish & chips never fail!

Posing with each other's dishes :P

Couldn't resist all these photo-taking cos the food presentations looked awesome. After these, we straight away dug in!

Fridays™ Sundae
Vanilla ice cream topped with hot fudge, caramel sauce, nuts and whipped cream.

Ended the dinner with a dessert with only an additional RM10 charge!

Sinful but oh-so-good!

Once in a while #cheatday la ;)

Because of so many dishes and huge portions, all of us ended up sitting at TGI Fridays eating, chatting and snacking for two hours plus! What a fun girls day out. Thank you, TGI Fridays for the great food and service!

Indeed, two is better than one! Check out the Meal For 2 promo while it lasts! Super affordable for such good food, and perfect portion for sharing! Don't miss it!
