Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! Hope you had a great celebration with your loved ones and a memorable reunion with your family members! :)
I, for one, for a fun time snacking, chillin' and just being with two sides of my family this Chinese New Year. Prior to the actual celebration, I also had the privilege to be a part of a fun and meaningful initiative by 9 Seputeh!
Bobo Stephanie and I were invited to give out angpows along with the Choy San Yeh (God of Prosperity) to the shoppers at Nu Sentral Mall! The lucky shoppers who received special angpows won a Lion Dance Performance at their houses. What a way to celebrate the Chinese New Year!
More of it in our Vlog at the bottom of my post below! But before that, some snapshots while we were there.
Dress from Chiq Fliq.
All dressed in Red and in the mood for Chinese New Year!
Nu Sentral Mall was transformed into an old school Malaysia back in the 1950's. This is only one of the many "shops" displayed! The amount of details and effort put into making them real and believable was crazy.
Apart from this Kedai Runcit, they also had a kopitiam, florist, and many others! Go check it out if you haven't, and before they take down the CNY deco! :)
Beautiful lanterns of all shapes, sizes and colours.
And look at the little boy playing hide and seek!
This is the florist I was talking about earlier!
Me and Bobo feeling festive with our red dresses :P
Apart from giving the angpows to the shoppers, we were also invited to witness the Lion Dance Performances at the winners' houses!
Bobo and I in red again. Hehe CNY mah!
Been a while since I witnessed a Lion Dance Performance at homes. When my gramma was still around, it's a yearly CNY thing to expect Lion Dance troupes on the first day of CNY. Grew up watching Lion Dance Performances and being able to witness them again brought back so much memories!
Here's us again while waiting for the Lion Dance troupes to be ready for their act!
Felt glad to be a part of such a meaningful initiative by 9 Seputeh, to spread joy and cheer in this Chinese New Year season! It really made me feel thankful that I've always had the chance to spend time with the ones that I love during the festive season, and seeing the smiles on the winners' faces during the lion dances was something that really brought out the CNY spirit of being with the ones who matter most to you :)
The other day while we were at Nu Sentral Mall, we were briefly introduced to what 9 Seputeh was all about by their friendly team member, and we were so amazed at their upcoming developments!
9 Seputeh is a property development by MRCB Land. Its VIVO Residential Suites offer the best of metropolitan living, with vibrant spaces and generous facilities. It comprises of signature retail & commercial components, and chic residences & SOHO suites.
From 484 - 2,476sq. ft., VIVO Residential Suites caters to different needs, from young professionals to families needing extra indoor and outdoor spaces.
Cocooned within the commercial and retail hubs of Bangsar, KL Sentral and Mid Valley, and supported by a network of roads and highways as well as public rail transportations, 9 Seputeh offers an integrated development to suit the needs of today's investors and home owners.
Straddling along the development are the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and the Federal Highway, MRCB Land intends to enhance connectivity by building a dedicated link bridge to the NPE, as well as dedicated covered pedestrian link bridge to the proposed monorail station that is to be located along Old Klang Road. So convenient!
It is inspired by the courtyard gardens of Alhambra, Spain with sprawling open plazas, landscaped riverbanks, environmental decks and green vertical walls that bring balance and meet the needs of all 9 Seputeh.
