Last Friday night, yours truly was invited by Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers to join the rest of the gorgeous blogger babes for Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest at Brussels, Jaya One.
All dolled up! :)
What I wore: Orange Paisley Printed Dress by Phat Culture Online Boutique, earrings by Ellui.
I absolutely loved the dress! It was super comfy and flowy.
Best part is that it fits me like a glove!
With this dress, I wore a stick-on bra also from Phat Culture! By far the best stick-on bra I tried on.
So when we reached Brussels, we were quickly served with 1 litre of beer each! My, the Oktoberfest beer stein was sure heavy! It was a workout in itself! :P
At the end of the day, all the guests brought home their very own giant Oktoberfest beer stein! You can get yours too just by taking part in the promotions at the participating outlets. More info at the Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest FB Page :)
My +1 of the night. Who sapu all my beer :P
My ultra yummy Pork Cheek! :))
His ultra yummy chicken. Eh seriously, the food was good. All thanks to MHB & Carlsberg Malaysia! :)
Throughout the entire night, the whole of Jaya One was hyped up thanks to the Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest event. The band and music were so loud and happening, that we could even hear every sound clearly from the basement carpark!
Thanks to Carlsberg Malaysia, we, the Malaysians are now able to experience the authentic German beer drinking festival first-hand, right here in Malaysia!
The Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest this year in 2012 is running from September 26 to October 7 at 18 different key market squares throughout the cities in the Peninsular as well as the East Malaysia starting this year!
When we talk about Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest, these highlights would naturally come to mind:
Highlight #1: Authentic Umpapa Band from Germany
The band really kept us entertained throughout the night! They were really, really good. All of them could sing!
And not to mention, engaging too! They played some German music, traditional songs and also surprised the crowd with the super popular hit, Oppa Gangnam Style!
German PSY? ;)
He could sing the entire song in Korean! The band was amazing as well. Something new to hear the song being played and sung LIVE, by a German band ;)
Highlight #2: Carlsberg Ambassadors in Dirndls + Chicken Dance
Meet the pretty Carlsberg ambassadors all decked in Dirndls (traditional German dress)!
And of course, who could forget the famous traditional Chicken Dance? ;)
Check out the hyped up crowd!
All of us were given our very own Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest hats! :)
Meet Kian Mei, the super kind and friendly Brand Manager for Carlsberg Malaysia. :)
Kian Mei, Emma & I.
Meet the pretty MHB Bloggers!
Kelly, Emma, Naomi & Stephanie :)
Highlight #3: Exciting Games & Activities
Throughout the night, there were games & activities going on for the crowd, such as the Stein Race, Barrel Race, and Arm Wrestling!
Winners of the Arm Wrestling competition!
Also, I met a new friend that evening, and he shared with me about his first experience attending the Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest event!
Meet Logan :)
It was his first time, and decided to pop by the event after being attracted by the crowd, band and of course, the drinks! He said he really enjoyed every bit of the party, and would come back for more in the upcoming ones!
Of course, I had a great time getting to know these gorgeous people that night! :)
