Always a woman

hello there.
angel from my nightmare :)

it's been a while since i actually updated with my current pics. camera rosak, handphone pun rosak. hahah! these pics were taken by boon's iphone. have mastered the art of camhoring with such a camho-unfriendly gadget! cant they create a side-button or something?

iphone screen so big.
every pic will become a close-up pic.

flirting with my best friend/bf/38 gang member/confidant.

every woman is different, agree?
you'll never find two totally similar women. they have different desires, needs and wants, different thoughts and emotions, different actions and reactions, different ways to please them, different ways they show they love you.

but one thing stays the same. right at the core, a woman is a giver, a nurturer, and a helper. no matter how post-modern, independent or indifferent she may be.

i havent officially turned a woman yet (november baby!), but when i look at the women around me, they have such big hearts. whether or not they are mothers, grandmothers, or just single women. if you look right through the surface, there's just something similar that we all share.

this has to be the most romantic song ever. not exactly the sweetest, nicest and non-provocative song like 'just the way you are' (to me, that song is impossible and too fake!), but i love just how it provokes, insults and yet still loves and appreciates a woman.

ignoring a woman's (or anybody's for that matter) weaknesses and pretending we're angels is not the way to go. you'll burn out before you know it cos we know for one know that we're not perfect, and we dont strive to be.

well, not me. that explains how indifferent i can be with people's opinion about me sometimes.

give me a song that tells of the perfections of a woman, and a song which criticizes yet accepts and cherishes just how complex and bitchy women can be sometimes, i'll take the latter.

i dont mean to be a relationship guru. but being in a relationship for almost 6 years now, i can say that we've braved through some of the roughest patches and have now arrived at a stage where we're both happy being honest and open with each other.

we've heard and smelt each other's farts.
we've seen each other's morning bedhead and smelt the bad breaths.
we've made each other laugh like hyenas, and seen each other weep.
we can finish each other's sentences as we speak.

if you think we're always nice to each other (like what you see on twitter), you couldnt have been more mistaken. we're each other's greatest critic. we insult, criticise, make fun of each other's traits.

men and women, we're well different. and our differences are meant to be cherished, celebrated, and be laughed at by each other. God is a God of humour :)

that's why i find this song especially heart-melting.

this song-writer clearly knows a woman. yet he loves every part of her.
that's a real man that women go all weakly over ;)

Fyfe Dangerfield- She's always a woman to me
an original version by Billy Joel

She can kill with her smile

She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child,
But she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she'll never believe
And she'll take what you give her
as long as it's free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she's always a woman to me

Oh she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She's ahead of her time
Oh and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

And she'll promise you more
Than the Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you're bleeding
But she'll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
Cause she's always a woman to me

She is frequently kind
And she's suddenly cruel
he can do as she pleases
She's nobody's fool
And she can't be convicted
She's earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she's always a woman to me
